Joann Vitelli, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist and owner of Northern Perspectives Psychological Services. She offers a wide range of services to clients across the Iron Range and Northern Minnesota. Dr. Vitelli provides therapeutic services to individuals ages and up. She focuses particularly on trauma. She has had extensive training including a certification in EMDR and the completion of an intensive nine month training program through the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute.

Melodee Gilbertson, PsyD, offers a variety of services to clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. Gilbertson particularly enjoys working with children and adolescents, and utilizes non-directive play therapy in her approach with children. She also has a certification in EMDR, providing this service to both children and adults.

Melanie Winterfeldt, MSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who offers individual therapy services to individuals age 18 and up. Melanie utilizes techniques including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She focuses on the needs of each individual and works with him/her to achieve and maintain therapeutic goals. Melanie has completed a DBT certification course and has experience using the Emotion Regulation Skills System, a DBT-informed curriculum for individuals who have different learning needs.
Marissa Stitt, MS, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who offers individual therapy and diagnostic assessments to individuals of all ages. Marissa uses a variety of client-centered approaches to meet the needs of children, adults, and families. Marissa is also trained in DC:0-5 diagnostic assessment for children birth to five, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).
Angie Hendrickson is Northern Perspectives Office Manager, and at the heart of operations. Angie has many years of experience in the healthcare field, working in a variety of roles including years working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Angie is the first point of contact for new and existing clients. Whether it be related to scheduling, billing, or just a general question, Angie is here to help.

We accept most of the common insurance plans seen in Minnesota. In addition, we have a Sliding Fee Scale which offers reduced fees based on income and family size.
